Advice for the young at heart

Songs in me heads:
"Advice for the Young at Heart" by Tears for Fears
"Serious" by [DARYL]
"Nightdrive" by Jimmy Eat World
Bill Cosby's impersonation of an Art Blakely drum solo

This is funny but very noble. More proof that nu-metal was the hair metal of yesteryear.

I received the new issue of Law of Inertia in the mail yesterday. Cedric and Omar from the Mars Volta are on the cover and their interview/story is well, very interesting. Certain things that I heard about At the Drive-In's final months are clarified, at least from their perspective.

Travis Barker of blink-182 sheds more light on the band's "indefinite hiatus."

Don't believe the hype, just enjoy the music.

I was not sure where Deafheaven would go after another record that brought My Bloody Valentine and death metal fans together, but they beautifully rebooted their sound on Infinite Granite. The divisive goblin vocals are vastly pared-down here, as are the blast beats. Sounding more inspired by Slowdive, the band has discovered a new sonic palette that I hope they explore more of in the future. It’s a welcome revelation.
